Not just a talented goalie...

Looking back on the posts in the blog, I realize the importance of posting as much as I can to look back and reflect on the memories and accomplishments of my boys.  Both boys are so kind and talented.

Both boys can sing but Connor isn't much for being in the spotlight.  Cody, on the other hand, has taken a few opportunities to showcase his singing talent, and I couldn't be more proud.  When Cody isn't busy with hockey he takes singing lessons at Pure Rock Studios here in Rochester.  In May of 2017 he was able to perform a song at the studio for an audience.  He did awesome.  Attached is the performance.  He also performed this song for his 5th grade talent show in front of about 1,000 students and staff.

Cody had the honor of performing the National Anthem at the local soccer game in July of 2017.  I know he was nervous since it was his first time and he sang it acapella.  He did great!  Attached are both performances.

Cody's first bus ride to school.

On Friday I did not have to work so it was Cody's first day to ride the bus to school. He gets to ride the bus home with Connor. Things went great, and he enjoyed riding the bus. It was fun to ride home with his brother. I am so proud of them!

Uh oh!

Well, I was hoping this day wouldn't come this early, but today I received a call from school. Mr. Goetz, the school administrator, told me that he had Cody in his office along with another boy from Cody's class. Apparently, Cody's teacher asked Mr. Goetz to talk to the boys regarding their behavior. They had been shoving and hitting each other so the teacher decided they should be taken aside to make sure they know the rules. We will see what Cody's take is on this when we talk to him about it this evening...stay tuned.

First lost tooth!

Cody lost his first tooth on November 11, 2010. Needless to say he really lost it because he had it in a special tooth box for the Tooth Fairy, but when he opened it to look at the tooth (over and over again) it fell out somewhere on the floor. The whole family spent time looking in the carpet and couch for it to no avail. Luckily the Tooth Fairy still makes a visit even when the tooth is really lost.
